Beginning of an End

I've played Skyrim quite a bit. Actually I've played it loads and loads. I've played it so much I've already completed all the mainline quests, all College (Bards and Winterhold) quests, all Dark Brotherhood quests (apart from the neverending Dark Brotherhood Forever) and almost all of the other quests as well. I just love the game so much I dont really wanna stop playin it. So, what I'm doing at the moment is hunt for new quests by going through all the quests at UESP and trying to find something that I havent done yet. Something I really did not want to do (I love the element of surprise and things not being too easy - I'd only look for online advise or walkthroughs if I was absolutely stuck!) but here I am - stuck with no interesting quests and a great desire to keep on playin.

So, the first quest I came across is actually a daedric one, which I've always enjoyed playing, called Sacred Trials of Kyne. Yay!

First I'm off to find Frocki's Shack. I'll let you know what happens.

Lost in Blackreach

Blackreach in a huge cavern-like Dwarwen ruin that connects Alftand, Raldbthar and Mzinchaleft. I had been there before as part of the quests 'Elder Knowledge' and 'Discerning the Transmundane', and did not like the place at all. Now I had to return to the cave filled with glowing supersized mushrooms in order to complete another quest 'Return To Your Roots'. I wasn't looking forward to this at all.

First I visited Sinderions field lab - only to find out I'd have to go collect 30 crimson nirnroots! 30! Not 5 or 10 or even 20 but bloody 30! I'd be there all evening!

And thats exactly what happened. I spent a total of 4,5 hours wandering around Blackreach, killing an odd Flamer, Dwarwen Machine or Chaurus and tryin to see that red glow or hear the bell-like calling of a nirnroot. Eventually, I did find them all. Some of them were inside the buildings, some up on cliffs, some almost underwater and some just by the side of the path waiting to be picked. The fun wasn't over  yet tho cuz I happened to get completely and utterly lost. My compass was stubbornly only pointin at one possible exit, which happened to be behind an iron gate to which I just couldn't find the lever. After almost an hour of frustration, swearing and random running around I finally found myself at the lift of Tower of Mzark and ended the Blackreach nightmare with hopes of never returning.

As long as it's about me

Hi. Welcome. This is my blog.

I write about gaming. Especially xbox gaming. And some other stuff I like.

I'm in no way a professional and it would be big lie to call myself a skilled gamer. I just have fun. And often suck. I will try to share the experience, the joy, the frustration, well the whole shenanigan.

I will try to write something at least couple a times a week but we'll see. I write either in Finnish or in English depending on my mood.

Enjoy.
